You can set set sorting rules for a scan session, via the Web Control interface or the CardCastle app.

Web Control Interface:

On the Web Control interface, sorting options are available underneath the Start and Disconnect buttons.

CardCastle App:

Once you have paired your app with your CardBot, you can set sorting rules to sort your cards. Tap the filter icon in the top right corner.

Currently, you can set rules for:

  • Price

  • Colour

  • Type

  • Rarity

  • Legality

  • Reserved List Status

  • Set

  • Set Type

We are working on adding in more options, including buylist/stock level sorting.

You can set any combination of sorting rules. For example, if you're looking for green rares worth more than $1.

When you set sorting rules, cards that match the criteria will be placed in the righthand stack. Cards that don't match the criteria or cards that fail to scan will be placed in the lefthand stack.

To set price sorting rules, enter values in the min and max boxes. For example, entering 5 in the min box will place all cards worth more than $5 in the righthand stack. Currently, you are only able to enter values in USD but we are working on adding in the ability to have these boxes default to your default currency.

To set colour sorting rules, tap the relevant button to change whether cards can match or not match a certain colour, must match a certain colour or must not match a certain colour/rarity. You can swipe left to exclude the unselected buttons and swipe right to clear all.

A greyed out button means that a card can match or not match that colour. A highlighted button means that a card must match that colour. A crossed out button means that a card must not match that colour. In the example below, the CardBot would place any Red/White/X cards (except for Red/White/Green cards) into the righthand stack.

The colour buttons are displayed in the following order: White, Blue, Black, Red, Green, Colourless, Multicoloured.

The type and rarity buttons work in the same way, except that you can't exclude/swipe to exclude unselected rarity options.

The type buttons are displayed in the following order: Creature, Planeswalker, Artifact, Enchantment, Land, Instant, Sorcery, Multitype.

The rarity buttons are displayed in the following order: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Mythic Rare, Special.

You can choose whether the CardBot just sorts your cards or uploads the scanned cards too. You can set this in the Options tab. Currently you can only upload the cards that matched your criteria (ie. the cards in the righthand stack). We will add in the ability to upload the other cards soon.

Uploaded cards are instantly available in the Staging Area on the web platform. Learn how to process them here.
