How to correctly power down your CardBot.

The CardBot needs to be shutdown correctly to protect the SD card from corruption (similar to the "Safely remove hardware" steps you take when unplugging a USB from your computer).

To correctly switch off your unit, first head to your Admin Interface and click Power in the top right corner, then select Shutdown (as shown in the image below).

You will need to wait approximately 20 seconds as the CardBot shuts itself down (a countdown is displayed on the Admin Interface). Once that has finished, you can switch off the unit at the power point.

If you do switch off your unit or it loses power at the wrong time, you risk corrupting your SD card. A corrupted SD card will completely stop your unit from working. Don't worry if this happens though - we will get you back up and running with a replacement SD card.
