IMPORTANT: Always SWITCH OFF and UNPLUG the CardBot before conducting any maintenance. DO NOT TOUCH any of the wiring or circuit boards while the CardBot is plugged into power.

If the normal mechanical/motor sounds that occur on start up don't stop after a few seconds, it's usually because the power converter is disconnected from the main circuit board. This guide runs you through the steps for a likely fix.

Items

  • 1 x 2.5mm hex key

Steps

1. Remove the backplate and door - put them aside

2. Locate the plug that connects the power converter (the small circuit board above the main board) to the main board

3. Ensure this plug is firmly in place

4. With the backplate still removed, plug the power cord back into the machine and switch it on (IMPORTANT: DO NOT TOUCH any of the wiring or circuit boards while the CardBot is plugged into power)

5. Listen for the motor/mechanical sounds on start up - they should stop after a few seconds*
