IMPORTANT: Always SWITCH OFF and UNPLUG the CardBot before conducting any maintenance. DO NOT TOUCH any of the wiring or circuit boards while the CardBot is plugged into power.

You can adjust the height and orientation of the pickup head of your CardBot. This allows you to fix things up if the head gets misaligned for any reason (for example, after serious jam or damage during transit). You can tell if the pickup head is misaligned if the suction cups aren't level and it will often mean that cards fail to be picked up*.

Items

  • 1 x 3mm hex key

  • 1 x Single 8mm wrench (adjustable wrenches are too thick)

  • 5-6 x Magic cards

  • 1 x 2.5mm hex key

  • 1 x Flashlight (optional)

Steps

1. Remove the roof and door - put them aside

2. Using the 3mm hex key and 8mm wrench, loosen the adjustable bolts on the pickup head (1 in each top corner with a nut behind)

3. Adjust the height and orientation of the pickup head so that the suction cups are flat and there is ~1.5mm clearance between the bending bar and wood panel (use the Magic cards as a spacer)

4. Tighten the bolts loosened in step 2

5. Ensure the head moves smoothly across it's entire range of motion

6. Run a test scan to ensure cards are picked up correctly**
