Items needed:
1 x CardBot door
3 x Rubber O-rings
3 x Plastic flathead screws
3 x Magnets
3 x Brass knobs
Flathead screwdriver
Steps:
1. Peel the protective layer off the door. Either side can be the front face
2. Put one rubber O-ring over the threaded end of one plastic flathead screw and then put the screw through one magnet. Make sure that the head of the screw sits in the countersunk side of the magnet
3. Put the tip of the screw through one of the holes in the door and then screw on the brass knob by hand. Make sure not to misalign the brass knob and keep pressure on the screw with your finger
4. Swap your finger to put pressure on the brass knob and tighten the screw with the flathead screwdriver until the brass knob is firmly in place. Do not overtighten as you will risk cracking the plastic
5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for the other two sets of door hardware
6. Attach the door to your CardBot by snapping the magnets to the metal at the top and bottom of the front face of the unit. The two knobs go at the top and the single knob at the bottom. When not using the door, you can attach it to the backside of the unit
The door helps to keep your cards safe and prevents dust getting into the machine. It can improve scanning accuracy too but sometimes decreases accuracy if your CardBot is in a dark room.
