We have big plans for the CardCastle platform and increasing our prices will accelerate development of exciting new features!

Since launching in 2014, CardCastle has helped more than 60,000 users digitize and manage their Magic card collections.

We launched with a scanning app for mobile devices and a web based collection management platform. We have added lots of features over the past 8 years - from a Deckbuilder to #tagging to Statistics - to make the platform even more valuable.

Despite the huge increase in functionality and value of the platform, our prices have not increased since our initial launch.

Maintaining the platform in its current state is taking up all of our team's time and we simply don't have the resources the develop the new features we have planned.

In order to grow our team so we can deliver new features and functionality, we are increasing our prices as of the 1st of October, 2022. The Squire account will remain free with the same limitations. The price of a Knight account subscription will increase to $9/month ($90/year for the annual plan).

Up until October, you are still able to subscribe to the annual Knight plan at the original $40/month price point. If you subscribe to an annual plan before the 1st of October, you will lock in our original pricing for the next 12 months!*

Some of our plans include Trading features, improved Statistics, a Deckbuilder in the app (plus other improvements to Decks), and advanced Filters. Here's a sneak peak**:

Trading

  • Find Trades - find other CardCastle users who are trading the cards you're looking for, or are looking for cards that you own

  • Digital Trade Binders - create subsets of your collection that are specifically available for trade

  • Integrated Collection Updates - trading cards will automatically remove the cards you traded away and add the cards you traded for

Improved Statistics

  • Set Progress - eg. you've collected 76% of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty

  • Tag Counts - eg. 245 cards with #tradebinder, 2,931 cards with #bulkbox

  • Tracked Cards - track a specific card's value over time

  • Price Movers - see which cards have gained or lost the most value

  • Dynamic Collection Value Chart - customize the timeframe displayed in the chart

Deckbuilder

  • Mobile Deckbuilder - the ability to build/browse your decks in the CardCastle apps

  • Social Features - share your decks with other users and ask for feedback on your builds

  • Find Missing Cards - find the cards you need to complete your deck from trade opportunities, local stores and online marketplaces

Filters

  • Full Filters - filter cards based on any attribute from creature type to artist, power/toughness to format

  • Text Filters - filter your collection using text filters (eg. search ct:vampire to display all of your Vampire cards)

  • Saved Filters - build complex filter sets and keep them saved for easy access
